The
booklet and interactive terminals

A fun way to visit

The discovery booklet is given to the children on arrival. They explore the museum and the battlefield, looking for clues to answer questions. The booklet gives children a better understanding of the history of the Linge. Interactive terminals are installed throughout the museum, inviting children to reflect on the conflict.

Family visit to the memorial. (With 2 children aged 3 and 8).

The museum is very well done, with a reconstruction of a trench that plunges us into history. Our son was a captive. We were able to walk in the soldiers' footsteps, following a signposted path. Very friendly museum staff. Highly recommend.

    Well worth it!

We came across it quite by chance, and we were so lucky to have stopped there! A superb museum and a wonderful walk through the trenches, what a discovery! The boys were given a little quiz book they could complete throughout the visit. 100% recommended!

    A very moving visit
We began the visit with a short film explaining the battles in this area. The film was very well made, well done, it was moving and helped us appreciate the visit and the walk afterwards. We did the red level walk with 4, 6 and 9 year olds in sneakers (and yes, it's a walk, so it's better to be equipped). It lasts about 1 hour, and you can walk through the trenches and enter the blockhouses and the command center. A must-do if you're in the area. And a big thank you to the volunteers who maintain and enable us to experience this piece of history.

    Impressive

"An impromptu family visit and a nice surprise. A beautiful museum and above all the remains of the fortifications to explore (with an educational treasure hunt for the children). Total immersion. Impressive. I recommend it."

    To do
"A small museum, located on a site steeped in history, very well done! The rooms explain the tragedy of this battle very well. A short film also describes the atmosphere of war in this place very well. A trail (with 3 possible levels of difficulty) takes us through the trenches. We were there for 2 hours, and our young children didn't get bored... A must!"

  • Odile
very interesting if you have teenagers
"Not to be missed if you are nearby, you can wander through the trenches of the first war, with respect, very interesting if you have teenagers. Visited in October 2022"

    A visit to remember
We took the Thursday tour with our 15-year-old daughter and it was exceptional, with a guide who is passionate and fascinating. The tour/walk lasts more than 3 hours, but it goes by very quickly.

    Guided tours

In July and August, we offer guided tours lasting around 3 hours. Our volunteer guides, who are passionate about history, put the site into perspective and transport you to the heart of its tormented history. A moving experience awaits you. Please note that guided tours require good physical condition.
